Borneo Rainforest Lodge is nestled along the curve of the Danum River hidden deep in the valley, this charmingly rustic lodge focuses on sustainability and respecting the ecosystem. Danum Valley is a recognized Important Bird Area for its international significance for the conservation of birds and other biodiversity. Over 340 species of birds, 124 species of mammals, 72 species of reptiles, 56 species of amphibians and a staggering 200 species of plants per hectare makes Danum Valley their home, thus making Borneo Rainforest Lodge the best place for experiencing Borneo’s wildlife.

One of the main highlights during your stay is the multi award winning canopy walkway, it spans across 300 meters with several viewing platforms at different heights. The highest platform stands at a proud 26 meters above ground level and its zig-zag design showcases the different tiers of the pristine rainforest in a 360 degrees view. Other attractions include a hike to the Coffin Cliff and viewpoint. The web of trails at the resort ensures no overcrowding so guest can soak in all the redolence in the forest.

Feast your ear with the various sounds of wildlife calling to you throughout the day. Be prepared to be woken up to the sounds of gibbons in the morning, or rhinoceros hornbill calling their mate as they return to the nest in the late afternoon and the compulsory orchestra of cicada in the evenings.

Passively designed wooden chalets offers spacious rooms with an ensuite bathroom, ceiling fan and a built in natural cooling system.
