PADI Scuba Diver Course Manukan Island

The PADI Scuba Diver Course Manukan Island is a two day pre-entry level certification that is perfect for vacationers or people who only plan to dive a few times a year. As a subprogram for the PADI Open Water Diver Course, the PADI Scuba Diver rating allows you to get certified quickly and easily by minimising time constraints.

Throughout the course you’ll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipments and techniques. By completing three confined water dives, three knowledge development sessions and by making two open water dives, you will earn the rating of PADI Scuba Diver.

Beginners learn to scuba dive through structured diving lessons. All our academics take place at our PADI 5 STAR CDC Dive Centre on Manukan Island, where our guests and students can enjoy our tropical surroundings chatting about all the wonderful creatures you will have spotted. As Manukan Island is a popular island getaway for local and foreign tourists alike, you can expect to see crowds around the island. However we have our own private area within Manukan Island Resort and you can enjoy the resort facilities whilst there. This means our Manukan Island dive centre is also ideal for non diving family and friends.

After completing the PADI Scuba Diver Course you can, at anytime continue your diving education. The next step is usually to complete the PADI Open Water Course with any PADI Dive Centre, which will take an additional 2 days.

Fit To Dive

You don’t have to be super fit to learn, virtually anyone who is in good health and reasonably comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Scuba Diver certification. However you must complete the Fit To Dive questionnaire. At some point in the course, we’ll ask you to demonstrate the ability to tread water/float for about 10 minutes without swimming aids, but that’s about it as far as watermanship goes.
