Scouts On Scuba at Downbelow
This is a FIRST for the Downbelow team to welcome Boy Scouts to our Downbelow Adventure Lodge & PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre! A combination of KotaKinabalu DB lodge stay & camping at our Gaya Island beach house is the perfect setting. The Boy Scouts from Singapore will be learning to SCUBA and exploring the best coral reef dive sites in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park under the supervision of our experienced team of PADI pro divers.
They will qualify as PADI Open Water Divers or participate in our daily leisure dive program! All the boys will also join our snorkel safari program. The troop will be jungle trekking from our base camp to the starting point of the longest island-to-island zipline and trying many new different skills too, such as building a campfire for a BBQ, practicing CPR & taking part in marine conservation & marine biology sessions, to gain merit badges! 4 chaperoning staff, who organised their trip to Sabah, will join the different activities – their safety is also well taken care of. It’s a week of professional adventurers’ meeting professional divers with the usual Downbelow educational twist 😉 Our facility is perfect for youth group activities as we provide the full package “in house” including transport, accomodation & fully qualified professional staff to oversee all activities so if you are interested in attending or organising a program for groups, schools or universities then please contact us!
